GPL Software Development Versions

Be aware that these are development versions and not fully tested. We do not recommend you run these versions in production except in very special circumstances. It is best if you run these versions on machines which have no critical data.

If you wish to run a development version in production we highly recommend the following:

• Subscribe to the package's mailing list and read it every day.
• Post any of your findings to the mailing lists. Part of GPL software development is contributing your test findings back to the primary developers so they can fix the problems.
• Back up everything you can.
• Monitor the development page. When code is being actively worked on it is not unusual for a new version to be posted daily.
• Do not blame us if something breaks.

Since the development versions have new features and improvements over the stable versions, some people just have to use them. If you are one of these types, please, be active on the mailing lists.

Development Funding
Programmers, testers and system administrators around the world participate in developing these GPL packages. The majority of code is written by Inter7. The rest of the coding is done by people who need a specific feature.
